Caitlin O’Hanlon is the Head of Creators & Community at Wattpad, where she leads strategic initiatives to empower storytellers as well as nurture and protect one of the world’s most engaged communities.

With a deep passion for storytelling and creator advocacy, Caitlin has spent the last 13 years overseeing global programming that supports writers at every stage of their journey, ensuring writers have the tools, resources, and support they need to thrive – from emerging voices to bestselling authors.

Also overseeing Wattpad’s global community support operations, Caitlin strives to keep Wattpad a safe, welcoming, and inspiring space for millions of writers and readers. She manages a team that provides frontline support to users, while also developing scalable systems to respond to community needs, feedback, and safety concerns. Her work ensures that creator well-being, inclusion, and platform integrity remain central to Wattpad’s evolution.

Caitlin is a frequent speaker on the future of creator economies, online communities, and the intersection of technology and storytelling. She holds a B.A. from University of Waterloo and M.A. from University of Galway.
